Tuesday

Tuesday is Arrival Day! Check-in to your hotel room or condo, take a mini stroll on the beach, & then meet us for a networking meet-up at the beach house!

Wednesday

Wednesday is the first full day of Retreating, focused on setting intentions and reclaiming your passion for what you do. You’ll hear from other business owners and experts who can help you align your focus for the week.

Thursday will focus on how to turn all the information into personal, actionable steps. This is your day to map out what your coming year will bring to your customers. We’ll collaborate as a team while building individual plans that support each of our existing business models. Think whiteboards, sticky notes & creative brainstorming!

HOW IS A SOWBO RETREAT DIFFERENT?

First of all, SOWBO was created by women business owners just like you. It was created out of a need for authentic community. You’ll quickly learn that the heart of SOWBO is all about serving YOU… not us. We believe in you. This isn’t some selfish endeavor—this is about empowering real women to overcome the hardest obstacles, passionately pursue deep callings, make real change in the world, live a life of fulfillment, and do so together.

Our retreats are hyper-focused and intentional. We hone in on the power of intimate collaboration among like-minded women. This isn’t a conference or girlfriend’s getaway. It’s a life-changing experience that will level up your business.

We believe in having fun, making memories, and taking time to rejuvenate. So we provide an opportunity for that at each event! You deserve time away from the household duties and taking care of others. Our events are opportunities for you to take workations, write the expense of the trip off, work ON the business, but—just as important—to allow yourself time to dream, have fun, relax, smile until it hurts, dress up in your favorite outfit, and make everlasting memories with wonderful people.

Our conversations are intentional. We provide easy conversation starters at each event in order to remove the awkwardness among strangers. Because honestly. Every woman who attends our events has a story worth telling.

This Business Owner Retreat Is For You If:

  • You own an existing business that sells products or services.
  • You are already making money and have been in business at least one year, but you are ready to grow your revenue and profits 
  • You need a few days to focus on your business (rather than in it!)

Our 4-day event is a true business retreat. You will leave with an action plan for your own business plus a community of women who are doing the journey alongside you.

FAQs

COVID CONSCIENCE?

This event will follow the current COVID guidelines. Should a limit of group gatherings be enforced by the State at the scheduled event time, then we will comply. Some presenters will participate in remote sessions in order to reduce risk. Attendees are encouraged to attend in person. 

ARE MEALS INCLUDED?

Lunch will be provided on Wednesday & Thursday. All other meals are on your own thus allowing you to experience the real night-life of the area!

IS MY HOTEL ROOM INCLUDED IN TICKET PRICE?

Accommodations are not included in ticket price for this event. We have, however, coordinated a special deal with the Carillon Beach Resort Inn. We also have a complimentary travel agent who can assist you with booking your accommodations. We encourage attendees to share spaces in order to share on cost, but that is not required. Condos and hotel rooms are as low as $100/night.

HOW MANY ATTENDEES WILL THERE BE?

Our goal is to have 15 women business owners in attendance. Actual size depends on ticket sales.

WHO IS THIS EVENT FOR?

This retreat is for existing business owners who have been in business for at least one year. Both product and service based businesses are welcomed.

DO I NEED TO STAY AT THE HOTEL?

You are not required to stay at the hotel during our event, but it is highly recommended. Our goal is for you to get fully immersed. The training days will begin early (8am-ish). Though our sessions will end around 5pm each afternoon, our hope is that you’ll stay and hang with the other amazing attendees in order to build community. We will have late night hangs around the hotel pool each evening.

WILL THERE BE TIME TO EXPLORE THE AREA?

We hope that you’ll explore 30A & Panama City in the evenings! The Florida Panhandle experience is one-of-a-kind. Also, feel free to come in a day early or stay through the weekend! We’ll happily provide a list of our favorite 30A spots for the perfect vacation!

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

We will email out a complete packing list in advance. It will include:

  • Notebook & pen
  • Comfortable clothes
  • Cozy pajamas for pool-side chats
  • Fun outfit for night out!
  • Swimsuit
  • Toiletries

ARE THERE PAYMENT PLAN OPTIONS?

Tickets for this event are set up to be paid in full upon booking. However, we can be flexible with a 50% deposit if needed. The remaining portion can be paid with smaller, customized payments. The event must be paid in full no later than one week prior.

CAN I SHARE A ROOM?

Sharing a room is a great idea as it helps with cost + allows for exploring the beautiful area together. Your hotel accommodations are completely in your hands, but we are happy to help you find a roommate once you’ve booked your ticket. Feel free to invite a friend to join you! Check our “bestie” ticket option at checkout.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?

We are confident that you will leave this event with new friends, a greater understanding of business strategies, new ideas for your own business, & action steps or plans for how you can implement the learned material. Just like any event, you get what you put in. Come to this event prepared to have conversations, learn, & use the designated time to make plans.  Due to the limited seating and detailed planning for each attendee, refunds are not available.  Should you book your event ticket and not be able to attend, then please email us ASAP so that we can ship you your gifts and availability of virtual options. Note: virtual attendance will not include community time.
