What was your “why” for creating a virtual assistant agency?

My “why” started out as simply wanting to pay my mortgage, so I could stay home with my kids. Over the last five years, it has grown into so much more. I truly believe every single business owner deserves to be supported, valued, rooted for, and invested in. I’ve seen time and time again unhappy clients who hire VA after VA, but can’t seem to find the right fit. I’ve made it my mission to ensure CEOs have the right support for their businesses. And, I also train VAs how to really invest in each client’s business as if it were their own.

Who is your ideal client?

We support CEOs who are truly ready to trust and hand off the day to day of their business, so they can stay in their zone of genius and focus on doing what they do best. It’s uncomfortable stepping into CEO mode. We love partnering with our clients to show them that it isn’t just a pipe dream, and that it can be their reality with just a little trust and a few systems and an absolutely amazing, dedicated virtual assistant.

What makes Prestridge & Co. different from other virtual assistant agencies?

What makes us different is we start with systems before you can begin working with our VAs. One of the biggest issues when hiring a VA is the CEO has no clue what the VA should be doing and doesn’t know how to teach them (or doesn’t have the time to teach them) and the VA isn’t skilled enough to know what systems are needed in the business as a whole, so she can easily step in and take over. Using our S3 Framework, we set you up with systems that are integrated so everything works together, structure, so that you have a clear picture of what you and your VA will be doing every single day. Ultimately, you will have support from a dedicated VA who is truly excited to help you grow.

Tell us something fun, quirky, or weird that you’d like our readers to know about you?

I met the love of my life on Myspace when I was just 17. When I sent him a friend request, he immediately (and very rudely) said “Who the heck are you and what do you want?” Me, being a sassy 17-year-old, told him “I thought you were cute, so I added you.” Here we are almost 14 years later with 5 very chunky cats, a 3-year-old, and another little babe on the way.

What do you do for fun outside of running your virtual assistant agency?

I love to get lost in a really good book with a warm cup of tea or coffee.

What is your big scary dream?

I want to grow my agency to the point where it’s making a million dollars a year and able to support over 15 online CEOs as well as train and hire so many more women who want to also work as virtual assistants.

Is there one person or thing that you attribute your success to?

I never give up. Even when it’s hard or not working or doesn’t feel aligned, I keep trying things till it works again. I look at every mistake, error, upset team member, client—whatever it is—as a way to learn and grow and get better.

What advice do you have for those on their entrepreneur journey?

Keep going. Consistency is truly the key in all things. So find your niche, become amazing at it and never give up.

What is one thing you love about SOWBO and/or being a member of our community?

I’ve only been in for a short while, but everyone already feels like a close friend that I want to get to know even better. I love the support, advice, feedback and how it truly feels like I am being welcomed in a big group hug.
