“Bridge the Gap” with Experience Management Expert, Essence Threlkeld

Meet Essence Threlkeld! A SOWBO VIP Member, Essence is the founder of the C.Noelle Design Group, a boutique experience management, event planning, and promotional print company based in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Let’s get to know Essence and her work at C. Noelle Design Group!

What is the specialty that you offer?

We are an experience management group. We offer three solutions to help organizations stay engaged with their audiences: Promotional Printing and Merch Stores, Event Management and Experience Management (XM).

What is your “why” for doing experience management?

I LOVE people and truly believe that individuals deserve to feel seen, loved and understood when dealing with companies. My background is in hospitality management and tourism, so I am used to having to bridge the gap between companies and the people that interact with them.

Who is your ideal experience management client?

My ideal client is a business owner or decision maker looking to build stronger connections with the people that make their business work.

What makes you different from the competition?

We own and operate our own full service print shop. So we are able to build out the experience management programs and create the promotional gifts and items that accompany that program.

Tell us something fun, quirky, or weird that you’d like our readers to know about you?

I love to eat and dance! Our kitchen is the most fun and active part of our home. Whenever anyone in my family is having a bad or “off” day, we head to the kitchen to dance it out—while looking for a fun snack, of course!

What do you do for fun outside of running your business?

Reading is at the top of my list. I also enjoy nature walks and shopping.

Who inspires you?

Career moms. Work–life balance is really hard when you own the work and are in charge of little lives.

What is your big scary dream?

To finish law school! I’m not even sure I want to actively practice law anymore, but it’s important that I go and finish law school because it’s something I promised myself I’d do.

Is there one person or thing that you attribute your success to?

Not really (is that bad?!? haha)

What advice do you have for those on their entrepreneur journey?

Stay the course and master one thing before adding others! Alos, remember to SHOW UP! Even when you don’t feel like it…. ESPECIALLY when you don’t feel like it.

What book or podcast do you think every business owner should consume? Why is this important to you?

The Alchemist and The Pumpkin Plan. It is so important to understand why we think the way we do and how that affects our business.

The Miracle Morning has been a game changer for me.

What is one thing you love about SOWBO and/or being a member of our community?

SOWBO is so supportive. The women are ambitious, straight-forward and loving.
